TO CREATE OPPORTUNITIES FOR AERONAUTICAL STUDENTS TO COMPETE, CONQUER AND CONTRIBUTE TO THE DEVELOPMENT IN THE NATION’S AERONAUTICAL FIELD.
Mr. Sukumar Dhanapalan has over six years of experience in teaching, research and industry. He has pursued B.E Degree in Aeronautical Engineering, M.E Degree in Aerospace Technology from Anna University, Chennai.
He has attended several National and International conferences and workshops. He has published and presented six papers in International and National conferences and journals. His paper was selected as a Best paper (Best Paper Award) in IEI-30th National Convention of Aerospace Engineers & National Seminar on “Aerospace Technology: Future Trends and Developments” conducted by IEI (The Institution of Engineers India).
His academic interests are in the areas of Aerodynamics and Wind Turbine Technology. He organised two Faculty Development Programs on Fluid Mechanics and Machinery (FDP on FMM 2013), June 5th ~ 12th 2013, and Finite Element Analysis / Methods (FDP on FEA/M), Nov 28th ~ Dec 5th 2013 Sponsored by Centre for Faculty Development, Anna University, Chennai.
He coordinated three technical symposium and two workshops. He got Best Faculty Award for organising a LIMCA world record program “TUTE TO MUTE PLASTICS”. Apart from academics, his passion towards Entrepreneurship made him to receive Best E-Leader Award from NEN (National Entrepreneurship Network) E-Week 2014, Feb 1st ~ Feb 8th 2014 and Best E-Faculty Award from NEN (National Entrepreneurship Network) E-Week 2015, Feb 1st ~ Feb 8th 2015. IIT-Madras appreciated for Initiating the Rural Engineering Technology Club (R-ETC) in collaboration with RTBi (IITM‟s Rural Technology and Business Incubators) and CSTRI (Council for Science and Technology for Rural India).
