PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES OF AERONAUTICAL ENGINEERING PROGRAM AT SOA


Program educational objectives are broad statements that describe what graduates are expected to attain within a few years of graduation. Program educational objectives are based on the needs of the program’s constituencies.



THE PROCESS FOR ESTABLISHING THE PEOs

The PEO’s are established through the following process steps:

  • STEP 1: Vision and Mission of the Institute & Department are taken into consideration to interact with various stake holders and establish the PEO’s.
  • STEP 2: The Head of the Department, Program Coordinator, and other Senior Faculty prepares the draft version of PEO’s and PO’s.
  • STEP 3: The draft version is discussed with stakeholders and their views are collected by the Program co-coordinator.
  • STEP 4: The Program Assessment Committee reviews and analyzes the PEO’s and PO’s and submits its Recommendations to the Departmental advisory Board.
  • STEP 5: The Departmental advisory Board deliberates on the recommendations and freezes the PEOs and POs.


STATEMENT OF PEO’S

  • PEO I: Adaptability to industry: Graduates of the program will receive adequate academic input to adapt themselves in any aircraft and allied industries.
  • PEO II: Successful Career Development: Graduates of the program will have successful technical and professional careers in Aeronautical and allied industries and management.
  • PEO III: Motivation for Higher Studies: Graduates of the program will be motivated to pursue higher studies and acquire masters and research degrees.
  • PEO IV: Contribution to Aeronautical Field: Graduates of the program will have innovative ideas and potential to contribute for the development, maintenance, and current needs of the aeronautical industries.
  • PEO V: Sustainable interest for Lifelong learning: Graduates of the program will have sustained interest continuously to learn and adapt new technology and development to meet the changing industrial scenarios.
