Anti-Ragging CommitteeIntroduction


The Anti-Ragging Committee of the School of Aeronautics, Neemrana, has been constituted in accordance with the directives of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India, the University Grants Commission (UGC), and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) to ensure a ragging-free campus environment.

The Committee is responsible for ensuring compliance with the provisions of Anti-Ragging Regulations and all applicable laws concerning ragging. It also monitors and oversees the performance of the Anti-Ragging Squad in preventing ragging within the institution and taking prompt action whenever required.


The School of Aeronautics follows a Zero-Tolerance Policy towards Ragging and is committed to providing a safe, secure, and inclusive learning environment for all students.


Objectives of the Anti-Ragging Committee


The objectives of the Anti-Ragging Committee are:

  • To create awareness among students about the dehumanizing effects of ragging and its adverse impact on the academic environment.

  • To maintain continuous vigilance and monitoring to prevent the occurrence and recurrence of ragging.

  • To promptly investigate and take stringent action against incidents of ragging brought to the notice of the Committee.

  • To generate an atmosphere of discipline, mutual respect, and harmony among students.

  • To ensure that no act of ragging goes unnoticed, unreported, or unpunished.

  • To promote a healthy academic environment conducive to learning and personality development.

Functions of the Anti-Ragging Committee


As per the directives of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India and subsequent notifications issued by the UGC and AICTE, ragging constitutes one or more of the following acts committed by any student or group of students:

  • Any act of indiscipline, teasing, bullying, or handling another student with rudeness.

  • Any act that prevents, disrupts, or disturbs regular academic activities.

  • Any activity that causes annoyance, hardship, psychological harm, fear, or apprehension.

  • Any act involving financial extortion or forceful expenditure.

  • Any act of physical abuse, assault, injury, or threat to health and safety.

  • Any act of verbal abuse through spoken words, written communication, emails, messages, social media posts, or public insults.

  • Any act resulting in injury to or infringement of the fundamental right to human dignity.

  • Any act of wrongful confinement, kidnapping, molestation, criminal intimidation, trespass, or use of criminal force.

  • Any unlawful assembly or conspiracy with the intention of promoting or participating in ragging.

  • Any form of cyber ragging through digital platforms, social networking sites, messaging applications, or electronic communication.

Punishment for Students Found Guilty of Ragging


Any student or group of students found guilty of ragging, either within or outside the campus, shall be liable to one or more of the following disciplinary actions, depending upon the nature and gravity of the offence:

  • Debarring from appearing in sessional tests, semester examinations, or University examinations.

  • Suspension from attending classes and academic privileges.

  • Withdrawal of scholarships, fellowships, stipends, and other benefits.

  • Suspension from the institution for a specified period.

  • Suspension or expulsion from hostel facilities.

  • Cancellation of admission.

  • Withholding of examination results.

  • Debarring from representing the institution in sports, cultural activities, or other events.

  • Rustication from the institution for a specified period.

  • Expulsion from the institution and consequent debarring from admission to any other institution.

  • Filing of an FIR and initiation of legal proceedings under applicable laws.


Anti-Ragging Helpline

Students may report any incident of ragging immediately to the Anti-Ragging Committee.

Declaration

Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited at the School of Aeronautics, Neemrana. Every student is expected to uphold the values of discipline, dignity, mutual respect, and professionalism.
