Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) is a profession that involves the maintenance, repair, & overhaul of aircraft & aircraft systems. AMEs are responsible for ensuring the safe & efficient operation of aircraft by performing tasks such as inspection, troubleshooting, & maintenance on aircraft components. They must also comply with regulations set forth by governing bodies such as the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA)
To become an AME, individuals typically need to complete a vocational training program or a college/university program in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering & pass a certification examination.
