News Regarding FDP on UAV

A faculty development programme was organized from 3rd to 5th December 2018 at the School of Aeronautics (Neemrana) on the Design and Development of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) and systems. This was a Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP III) sponsored three-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP)  where various UAV-related subtopics were discussed in detail by eminent educationists and a very beneficial academic environment was experienced by the participants.

The FDP was started on 3rd December 2018 with the Lamp Lightening ceremony followed by Pooja and Saraswati Vandana. The dignitaries were welcomed by the Event Coordinator. The first technical session was on the topic of Introduction to UAV and the guest speaker was Prof (Dr). D. P. Mishra, IIT Kanpur. Prof(Dr). D. P. Mishra discussed the History of UAVs, the Classification of UAVs and the Introduction to Unmanned Aircraft Systems. The lecture was very beneficial and provided insight into the various types of UAVs and systems. Col. Amit Mohan Sharma shared his practical experience and explained the UAV: Models. Followed by him Dr. Sandeep Kumar presented about Swaran Intelligence. It is an advanced technology which is applicable in the entire engineering field. The technical session was followed by lunch. The practical aspects of UAV and the Design of UAV were covered by Mr. Laksman and Mr. Sanjay Kumar respectively in consecutive sessions.

On the second day technical session 1 was taken by Col. Amit Mohan Sharma who gave the information regarding the components used in UAVs and their market availability of it. Followed by him a session on Evolution Computation was handled by Dr. Sandeep Kumar. Prof(Dr). D. P. Mishra before leaving for IIT gave an excellent session on UAV Implementations. The session was followed by lunch. In Post lunch, the guest speaker was Mr. Kamal Sharma, CEO-Kambill Systems, Alumni of SOA, and a young energetic entrepreneur.
