SC/ST Committee

The SC/ST Committee of the School of Aeronautics, Neemrana has been established to safeguard the interests, rights, and welfare of students, faculty, and staff belonging to the Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) communities.

The Committee functions in accordance with the guidelines issued by the Government of India, University Grants Commission (UGC), and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) to ensure an inclusive, equitable, and discrimination-free environment within the institution.

The Committee strives to promote social justice, equal opportunity, and academic excellence while ensuring that members of SC/ST communities receive the support and assistance necessary for their educational and professional development.

Vision

To create an inclusive and equitable educational environment that promotes dignity, equality, social justice, and equal opportunities for students and employees belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.

Objectives of the SC/ST Committee

• To safeguard the rights and interests of SC/ST students and employees.

• To ensure effective implementation of Government policies and schemes related to SC/ST welfare.

• To address grievances and complaints concerning discrimination, harassment, or deprivation of rights.

• To promote awareness regarding constitutional safeguards and legal provisions available for SC/ST communities.

• To encourage academic excellence, skill development, and career advancement among SC/ST students.

• To foster an environment of equality, harmony, and mutual respect within the campus.

Functions of the SC/ST Committee

The Committee shall:

• Monitor the implementation of reservation policies and welfare measures applicable to SC/ST communities.

• Address grievances related to discrimination, harassment, or denial of legitimate rights.

• Provide guidance regarding scholarships, fellowships, and government welfare schemes.

• Organize awareness programs on constitutional rights and social justice.

• Promote educational and career development opportunities for SC/ST students.

• Ensure that no student or employee faces discrimination based on caste or tribal identity.

• Recommend corrective measures to the institution whenever required.

Grievance Redressal

Any student, faculty member, or staff belonging to the Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes who experiences discrimination, harassment, or any issue affecting their rights may submit a complaint to the SC/ST Committee.

The Committee shall:

• Receive and acknowledge grievances.

• Conduct an impartial inquiry wherever necessary.

• Maintain confidentiality of the complainant.

• Recommend appropriate action to the competent authority.

• Ensure timely resolution of grievances.

The Committee regularly undertakes the following activities:

• Awareness programmes on constitutional rights and safeguards.

• Career guidance and counseling sessions.

• Scholarship and educational assistance awareness programmes.
