Grievance Redressal Committee (GRC)Introduction


The Grievance Redressal Committee (GRC) of the School of Aeronautics, Neemrana has been constituted in accordance with the provisions of the AICTE (Establishment of Mechanism for Grievance Redressal) Regulations, 2012, and the guidelines issued by the University Grants Commission (UGC).

The Committee serves as a formal mechanism for resolving grievances of students, faculty members, and staff in a fair, transparent, and timely manner. The objective of the Committee is to ensure that all stakeholders have access to an effective system for addressing complaints and concerns related to academic, administrative, and institutional matters.

Objectives of the Grievance Redressal Committee

  • To provide a fair and impartial platform for addressing grievances.

  • To ensure prompt and effective resolution of complaints.

  • To promote transparency, accountability, and good governance within the institution.

  • To safeguard the rights and interests of students, faculty, and staff.

  • To maintain a harmonious and conducive academic environment.

  • To recommend corrective measures for improving institutional functioning.

Scope of Grievances

The Committee may consider grievances relating to:

Student Grievances

  • Academic matters.

  • Examination and evaluation issues.

  • Attendance-related concerns.

  • Scholarship and fee-related issues.

  • Hostel and campus facility complaints.

  • Library and laboratory facilities.

  • Administrative services.

  • Student welfare matters.

Employee Grievances

  • Service-related concerns.

  • Workplace facilities and infrastructure.

  • Administrative matters.

  • Working conditions.

  • Professional conduct and institutional support.

Functions of the Grievance Redressal Committee

  • Receive and acknowledge grievances submitted by students, faculty, or staff.

  • Examine complaints objectively and impartially.

  • Conduct inquiries whenever required.

  • Recommend appropriate corrective and preventive measures.

  • Monitor the implementation of decisions and recommendations.

  • Maintain records of grievances and actions taken.

  • Ensure confidentiality and protection against victimisation.

Grievance Submission Procedure

Any student, faculty member, or staff member having a genuine grievance may submit a written complaint to the Grievance Redressal Committee.

The complaint should include:

  • Name and contact details of the complainant.

  • Nature of grievance.

  • Relevant facts and supporting documents.

  • Desired relief or corrective action.

The Committee may seek additional information or clarification, if necessary.

Grievance Redressal Process

  1. Receipt and registration of the grievance.

  2. Preliminary examination of the complaint.

  3. Hearing of the concerned parties, if required.

  4. Investigation and review of supporting documents.

  5. Recommendation of appropriate action.

  6. Communication of the decision to the concerned parties.

  7. Follow-up and monitoring of corrective measures.

The Committee shall endeavour to resolve grievances within a reasonable period and in accordance with institutional policies.
